FightATS ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use fightats.com. We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

1. What personal information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: Your name and email address, collected when you sign up via Clerk (our authentication provider).
• Usage data: Your credit balance and purchase history, stored in our database to manage your account.
• Content you provide: When you generate a resume or cover letter, the job description and profile information you enter (work history, skills, brain dump) are transmitted to Anthropic's API to generate your documents. We do not store this content on our servers. It exists only in your browser's local storage and is sent directly to Anthropic for generation.
• Payment information: Handled entirely by Stripe. We never see, store, or process your card details.

2. How we collect your information

We collect information directly from you when you:

• Create an account or sign in
• Enter profile information or job descriptions into the app
• Purchase credits via Stripe

We do not collect information from third-party data brokers or public sources.

3. How we use your information

We use your personal information only to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the FightATS service
• Manage your account and credit balance
• Send transactional communications (e.g. payment receipts, important service updates)
• Respond to your support requests
• Comply with our legal obligations

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not use your resume content or job descriptions to train AI models. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their marketing purposes.

4. Disclosure to third parties

We share your information only with the following service providers, strictly for the purpose of delivering our service:

• Clerk — authentication and identity management. Stores your name, email, and login credentials. clerk.com/privacy
• Anthropic — AI document generation. Receives your job description and profile content to generate resumes and cover letters. Content is not retained by Anthropic for training by default. anthropic.com/privacy
• Stripe — payment processing. Handles all payment transactions and stores your card details securely. stripe.com/privacy
• Supabase — cloud database. Stores your account data (email, credit balance). Data is hosted in secure cloud infrastructure. supabase.com/privacy

Cross-border disclosure: Our service providers (Anthropic, Clerk, Stripe, Supabase) are based in the United States. By using FightATS, you consent to your information being transferred to and processed in the United States. We take reasonable steps to ensure these providers maintain equivalent privacy protections.

5. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies solely for authentication, managed by Clerk. These are essential session cookies required for the app to function. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics that identify you personally. You can disable cookies in your browser, but this will prevent you from signing in.

6. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and using reputable, security-certified service providers. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

7. Data retention

We retain your account data (name, email, credit balance) for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal information from our systems within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain records.

8. Your rights under Australian Privacy Law

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct any inaccurate or out-of-date information
• Request deletion of your personal information
• Make a complaint if you believe we have breached your privacy

9. Complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response to a privacy concern, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or by calling 1300 363 992.

10. Children's privacy

FightATS is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or via an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of FightATS after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
